Home and Away spoilers: Raffy is given a life-changing diagnosis

Raffy has been in hospital in an induced coma for a while, with John, Marilyn and the Morgans worried sick about her. Fears rose when she had repeated seizures while unconscious, which the doctors struggled to control with medication.

However, the appropriate treatment is found, and her sedation starts to be reduced so she can be brought out of the coma. When Mason and Tori indicate shell wake up soon, Justin calls Brody, Ziggy, Marilyn and John to the hospital.

When Raffy is conscious, she passes Toris tests, so everyone enters her room to speak with her. But she can only get a few words out before falling into a seizure again.

A few hours later, Tori speaks with the neuro team and finds out the results of Raffys MRI scan. Shes got post-traumatic epilepsy, and will need full time supervision. Although the seizures could stop within a few weeks, theres a chance its permanent, and shell require medication.

Upon discovering the news, Raffy bursts into tears, and the Morgans kick into action, planning a roster so they can all pitch in with her care. John and Marilyn are left feeling sidelined, and Marilyn tells John she thinks theyre going to lose Raffy – shell return to live with the Morgans…
