Jim Harbaugh has a bold strategy for improving the Michigan football team, and it recently involved offering a middle school student a scholarship.
The Detroit Free Press recently reported the following:
Cambridge (Mass.) Buckingham, Browne & Nichols eighth-grader Tyler Martin announced on his Twitter account on Thursday that he received an offer from Michigan football:
Already standing at 6-foot-3 and 227 pounds before his freshman year of high school, Martin started every game this past season for the Knights as a tight end and linebacker, leading the team in tackles with over 100.

How is this not getting more attention? This is getting next to no mainstream attention at all. I didnt even notice it until Barstool Sports wrote it up. This is crazy. (SLIDESHOW: These Sexy Women Love Football)
Harbaugh has been a massive disappointment with the Wolverines. Thats simply a fact. Hes never finished above third in the Big Ten East and has been constantly smacked around by other premiere Big Ten programs. How does he plan to fix that? Oh, just offer scholarships to kids who cant even get a drivers license. Im sure that will solve the problem.
Im sure recruiting kids in middle school is the exact solution he needs for beating OSU, MSU or Wisconsin. Wisconsins offensive line is lethal. It would make sense for him to go get a great linebacker. I cant think of a better linebacker to get the job done than a kid who isnt even in high school. Can you sense my sarcasm? Its dripping onto the page.
I hope Harbaugh is at Michigan forever. Theres nothing funnier than watching him not win.
