He told the Herald Sun: I am so sad, really devastated to lose my mate. We had this incredible bond. We were mates to the very end.
His sister-in-law Kate Cuthbert also shared the sad news, and wrote online: My adored brother-in-law passed away last night. Have I ever told you that I married in to Australian royalty?
He was funny and kind and so loving, she continued. And he was too young to go. And Im really, really sad today. In conclusion, #f***cancer.
