Avengers: Endgame is set to return to cinemas with an extended edition as new scenes will take to the big screen.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige announced the news in the most casual way possible, saying: We are doing that [an extended version]. I dont know if its been announced. And I dont know how much.

He added to ComicBook.com: Yeah, were doing it next weekend.

With the flick closing in on the number one spot for highest grossing movie of all time, currently held by James Camerons Avatar, fans are wondering if this could tip it over the edge.

While its only number two in the highest grossing movies list, recently beating out Camerons Titanic, the movie, directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, has smashed a whole host of records, including highest opening weekend and fastest to gross $1 billion (£791 million).
