Stranger Things fans are going wild after discovering the show’s new star is Uma Thurman & Ethan Hawke’s daughter

Maya Hawke has joined the most talked about teen gang on Netflix right now as a star of Stranger Things season 3.

After waiting a year and a half for the third season of Stranger Things to launch, fans of the science-fiction show were doubly excited to see the introduction of new characters in the small town of Hawkins, such as Robin, Steve Harringtons co-worker in the ice cream parlour in Starcourt Mall.

But who is Robin and why are we so excited about her in this new season?

Well for starters, lets not ignore the obvious face that we have a shiny new female character being introduced into the main cast. Alongside Millie Bobby Browns character, Eleven, and Sadie Sinks Max, Robin closes the gap between the number of male and female adolescents in the show.

On top of this, the internet is going crazy for Maya Hawke, the actress behind Robins character, who also happens to be the daughter of Hollywood actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. The close resemblance between Hawke and her parents is impossible to ignore.

Having previously played Jo March in a 2017 BBC miniseries adaptation of Little Women, Hawke is no stranger to the television screen, yet her joining of the most popular teenage television gang has rocketed her into the spotlight.

Ethan Hawke is seriously proud of his daughter for her role in Netflixs recently released Stranger Things 3. The 48-year-old Training Day actor, who shares Maya with Uma Thurman and was snubbed at this years Academy Awards alongside Toni Collette, publicly praised the 21-year-old in a gushing post on Instagram.
