Iowa Democratic Party Calls Narrow Win for Pete Buttigieg

The Iowa Democratic Party late Thursday called a narrow win for Pete Buttigieg in the Iowa caucuses with all precincts finally reporting, in the first-in-the-nation contest to find a challenger for Republican President Donald Trump leading up to the November 2020 presidential election.

Buttigieg, a former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, narrowly won against Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) 26.2 percent to 26.1 percent, according to the Iowa Democratic Party.
